A century ago, the world ran on coal. From ocean liners to the local power company, coal kept the world running. On a smaller scale, many homes burned coal for heat, hot water, and sometimes even to cook food. Such homes would have a little iron chute on the front of the house, and once a month the coal man would come by with his truck full of coal and pour some through the coal chute for the days ahead. This would fall into a purpose-built room in the basement — the coal room — where it could be easily shoveled into the nearby furnace and water heater.
My COALROOM is built into such a historic room. Nestled within historic brick walls, THE COALROOM combines vintage analog gear and cutting-edge digital tools, ensuring your sound is crafted to unique perfection. My collection of vintage, rare, and modified instruments allow me to capture sounds that simply don’t exist in any digital library. And just like it did over a hundred years ago, my coalroom has one purpose: to transform potential energy into something beautiful, useful, and powerful.

As a licensed professional counselor with a master's degree in clinical psychology, I bring a unique dimension to the studio. Trained not only as a musician but also as a listener, I help turn your sonic dreams into reality without ego interference. Whatever your goal, my goal is to help you achieve it as efficiently, creatively, and completely as possible.
My journey initially led me to counseling while nurturing my passion for music on the side. It wasn't until I recognized the common thread—helping people find their authentic voice—that I merged these two passions. Thus THE COALROOM was born, where I guide clients to articulate their ideas and transform them into captivating recordings.
As a member of the xennial generation, I witnessed the analog-to-digital transition firsthand. From starting with analog tape to embracing the digital recording revolution, THE COALROOM now stands as a modern hybrid studio, blending the best of both worlds—exceptional digital and analog technologies led by a producer who fluently speaks both languages.
